About

Victoria Day is an interdisciplinary Toronto artist whose work examines themes of belonging, duality, and the nuances of mixed-race identity. Her love of detail-oriented, analog processes can be seen throughout her practice .

Day’s recent work is an investigation into and celebration of her Korean heritage through the study and presentation of traditional Korean arts. Her aim is to diversify the cultural aesthetics within public art and print communities. Simultaneously, this work allows Day to process her experiences as a mixed-race member of the Korean-Canadian diaspora.

Day works predominantly in printmaking, and integrates painting, hand papermaking, ceramics, and murals on a project-by-project basis.
